Mumbai. Today (27 April) is the third death anniversary of Vinod Khanna, who is said to be Bollywood’s most handsome actor. He died of cancer on 27 April 2017. In his last days he had a wish that remained unfulfilled. He wanted to see his book house in Pakistan. However, Vinod’s name is counted among those actors in the industry who have seen many ups and downs in his film innings. He started his career by becoming a villain and then became a hero and dominated the film screen.
Sunil Dutt gave a chance to come on screen for the first time
Vinod Khanna, who was extremely shy as a child, was forced into drama by a teacher during school. It was from here that he moved towards acting. While studying in boarding school, Vinod Khanna watched films like ‘Solwan Sal’ and ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and these films left a deep impact on him and he became desperate to become a hero. Vinod was studying at Sydenheim College in Mumbai. There was no acquaintance with anyone in Bollywood. The appearance of the bus was attractive and beautiful. Dharmendra’s collar caught during the shooting of ‘Partition’
Vinod Khanna and Amrita’s romance was at its peak during the shooting of the film ‘Bantwara’. After the shooting ended, Dharmendra often used to sit with a Mehfil, while Vinod would sit in his tent with Amrita. One day Dharmendra called him to call him in the Mahafil, but Vinod did not come out, on which Dharmendra got angry and started calling Vinod very bad. Vinod Khanna’s second wife Kavita was 16 years younger to him. In 1988, the two met for the first time at a party. As soon as Kavita arrived at the party with her friends, Vinod kept looking at them. Several days later, he met Kavita again in the park. Then one day Vinod, playing badminton, rushed straight to Kavita’s house, soaked in sweat and proposed to her for marriage. Kavita also agreed.

Vinod Khanna was considered an actor with equal stardom as Amitabh Bachchan. In the 70s and 80s, the ‘counter culture’ movement was going on. At the same time, Vinod left his stardom at Khanna Peak and went to Rajneeshpuram Ashram in Oregon, USA. At the same time Vinod’s mother had also died and he was sad. Mahesh Bhatt was also a monk with him then. It is also said that Mahesh Bhatt had persuaded Vinod Khanna to become a monk. Vinod Khanna used to roam in the ashram wearing Rajneesh garland. Death anniversary of a special friend
April 27 is also the death anniversary of actor Feroze Khan, a special friend of Vinod Khanna. He died on this date in 2009. Both were seen together in the films ‘Dayawan’, ‘Kurbani’ and ‘Shankar Shambhu’. Feroze Khan was considered the most fashionable actor of the film industry in the 70s.
