The family of the late music composer Wajid Khan has released a statement on social media. This statement has been shared by his brother Sajid Khan on his Instagram account, which reveals the reason for Wajid’s death.
In this statement, the family wrote, ‘Our beloved Wajid died at the age of 47 due to cardiac arrest on June 1 at 12.30 pm at Surana Sethia Hospital. He underwent a successful kidney transplant last year and was undergoing treatment for throat infection.
Thanks to the doctors: It further said in this statement, ‘We would like to thank Dr. Prince Surana who took care of Wajid like family during the treatment. Thank you for the support of Dr. Prashant Kewale, Dr. Kirti Sabnis, Dr. Nikhil Jain, Dr. Rupesh Nayak, Dr. Deepen Deole, Dr. Aseem Thamba and the entire hospital staff. ‘
The family did not mention in the statement that Wajid had died due to coronavirus. While there were reports that Wajid was infected with corona and was on ventilator. The corona caused multi-organ failure and he died.
