Tamil popular actor Vivek has died on Saturday morning at the age of 59. He was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Friday after a heart attack. According to reports, Vivek breathed his last at the hospital at 4.35 am. There is a wave of mourning in the Tamil film industry after Vivek’s death.

Farooq Sheikh, a famous actor of yesteryear, died on December 27, 2013 of a heart attack. The 65-year-old actor breathed his last at a hospital in Dubai.
Born on 25 March 1948, Farrukh Sheikh made his acting debut in 1973 with ‘Garam Hawa’. The film was a big hit. After this, he did a brilliant performance in ‘Chess Players’ in 1977, ‘Noori’ in 1979, ‘Chashme Baddur’ in 1981, ‘Koi Se Na Na Kehna’ in 1983. Farooq Sheikh worked in a number of films with actress Deepti Naval.
Actress Reema Lagoo passed away here on 18 May 2017. He was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital after a heart attack where he breathed his last at 3.15 pm. Reema played mother in more than 30 films. She was the mother of Salman Khan in 7 of these films. These include ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, ‘Saajan’, ‘Stone Flowers’, ‘Nishchaya’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, ‘Twins’ and ‘Shaadi By Fired Yar’ Apart from Hindi, Reema also worked in Marathi films.
Bollywood actor Om Puri died on 6 January 2017. He died of a heart attack at the age of 66. Ompuri, who was awarded the Versatile Actor and Padma Bhushan, was born on 18 October 1950 in Patiala. Having worked in several Hollywood films with Bollywood, Om’s personal life was quite contrarian. Om Puri started his film journey with the Marathi drama film Ghasiram Kotwal. The film ‘Aakrosh’ released in 1980 proved to be the first hit of Om Puri’s career.
Actor Inder Kumar, who made his debut with the film ‘Innocent’, died on July 28, 2018. He passed away in his sleep and later his wife Pallavi revealed that she had lost her life due to heart attack. Inder was only 44 years old.
Bollywood’s Evergreen star Dev Anand died on December 3, 2011 in London of a heart attack. Born in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Dev Anand was an actor in Hindi cinema who spread the magic of his skills, performance and romanticism to audiences for almost six decades. He had acted in many films including ‘Guide’, ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’, ‘Johnny Mera Naam’, ‘CID’.
South films actress Aarti Aggarwal died due to heart attack. Aarti died at the age of 31 on 6 June 2015. He made his Bollywood debut in the film ‘Madness’ (2001) and in South with the film ‘Nuvvu Naku Nachhav’ (2001). He also shared the screen with Prabhas. She was last seen in the 2009 film Posney Gentleman.
