Apple has recently launched iPhone 13 series smartphones which include iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. At a time when the world is still getting used to the iPhone 13 series, reports of its successor i.e. the iPhone 14 have already started hitting the internet. These reports not only hint about the features but also the model names, which are expected to change a bit next year. So here is everything we know about the iPhone 14 series so far.
When will the iPhone 14 series be launched?
Apple usually launches its new iPhones in the first half of September and they usually go on sale on Fridays in the second half of the month. Continuing with the tradition, Apple introduced the iPhone 13 series on September 14 and they went on sale in markets around the world on September 24. What will be special in the iPhone 14 series
As mentioned earlier, a lot has already been said about the specifications of next year’s iPhone 14 series. Word is that Apple will drop the ‘mini’ iPhone next year in favor of the ‘Max’, making the iPhone 14 the entry-level iPhone next year. While the iPhone 14 series will still consist of four iPhone models, they will be named slightly differently. The iPhone 14 series is expected to include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones.
As far as the features are concerned, the Pro-level iPhone 14 model is expected to drop the notch in favor of a punch-hole display. However, the entry-level iPhone 14 is expected to retain the notch. As far as the front camera is concerned, Apple is expected to hide the Face ID component under the display. In addition, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are expected to come with a stainless steel chassis with a glass back, while the Max and Pro Max models are tipped to get a titanium chassis.
Noted Apple tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will come with a 6.1-inch OLED display, while the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with a 6.7-inch OLED display. Support for 5G connectivity is expected in all four models.

Another analyst, Ross Young, has claimed that the iPhone 14 will feature a 6.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1170×2532 pixels and a 60Hz screen refresh rate and 460 pixels per inch. The iPhone 14 Pro, on the other hand, will have similar screen specs but with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. He also added that the iPhone 14 Pro Max is likely to feature a 6.68-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1284×2778 pixels, with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 458 pixels per inch. The iPhone 14 Max will have similar screen specs but a 60Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, all the four iPhone models are reported to be powered by the A16 chipset. On the camera front, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are tipped to get a 48MP main camera, which is up from the 12MP cameras on the iPhone 13 model.
