There have been many changes in your lifestyle during lockdown. People of all ages are facing the problem of mood swings while living at home all the time. These four remedies can help you to overcome this.

What is mood swing: It is a type of biological disorder, due to which there can be a type of chemical imbalance in the brain. Sometimes a person becomes very happy and sometimes very sad when the mood swings. However, the cause of frequent mood changes is the increase in stress or thyroid imbalance called cartisol present in the blood. It can occur at any age to both women and men.

1. Drink more water

Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to remove toxins from the body. This keeps the body moist. At the same time, blood circulation occurs throughout the body and mind. In this way, drinking enough water helps reduce mood swing problems. Apart from water, you can drink it by making shikanji. This calms the mind and maintains energy level.

2. Exercise

Pilate daily. This helps in correcting the flow of lungs and blood. The energy level of the body increases. Exercises like push ups, aerobics and jumping squats are also effective in eliminating stress and mood swings. It will also help you a lot in controlling your weight.

3. Take a healthy diet

Eat more magnesium-rich foods in food, such as bananas. Also increase the amount of vitamin C such as orange, amla and lemon. It helps in keeping the body energetic. Dark chocolate, beans, herbal tea and green vegetables can also help you to relieve mood swings. Take limited amount of sugar and fat in the diet.

4. Adopt music therapy

When the mind is depressed, good music acts as a ‘mood lift’. You can improve the mood by listening to your favorite music. Also, if you are fond of dancing, then this is the right time when you can dance and stay tension free. While in the house, join other family members in the dance as well. You will be able to enjoy more.
