Xiaomi on Monday launched a new laptop Mi Notebook Pro at its Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 launch event. The company is telling the eighth generation Intel Core i7 processor the most important feature of this laptop. Along with this, the company is also loudly introducing the ‘symmetrical cooling design’ (temperature controlled design) of the laptop. With a 15.6-inch display, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro was compared to the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 at launch. Apart from this, another feature of this laptop with Windows Hello support is a fingerprint sensor given in its touchpad.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro will be launched in three variants – Intes Core i7 with 16 GB RAM for 6,999 Chinese Yuan, Intel Core i7 with 8 GB RAM at 6,399 Chinese Yuan and 8 GB at 5,599 Chinese Yuan Intel Core i5 with RAM.

As we mentioned, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is powered by the eighth generation Intel Core i7 processor coupled with (Nvidia GeForce MX150) graphics card. It has 16 GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM and supports PCIe SSD up to 256 GB. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has been given to protect the 15.6 inch display.


The laptop features a full-size backlit keyboard and, according to the company, the keyboard area is 19 percent larger than that of the MacBook Pro. Apart from this, the laptop also has a 3-in-1 SD card slot, two USB Type-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a full-size HDMI port, two USB Type-A ports (USB 3.0 and USB 2.0). The laptop has dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. The laptop weighs 1.95 kg and measures 360.7×243.6×15.9mm.

The company is also touting the Harman Infinity custom-built speaker and Dolby Atmos audio as an important feature of the laptop. The company says that the laptop is powered by a 60W Hover battery and its new lightweight charger can charge the laptop up to 50 percent in just 35 minutes.
