Chinese smartphone company Realme is reportedly gearing up to launch the Realme 9 Series. The series was earlier rumored to launch in October this year, however, during the Realme 8s and 8i launch event, the company confirmed that it will launch in 2022, not 2021.
Realme’s CMO, Francis Wong, in a tweet said that the company has had to change its roadmap due to the ongoing global chip shortage. Now, as per the latest development reported by 91mobiles, the Realme 9 series is set to launch early next year and will consist of four phones.

When will realme 9 series phones be launched? View Possible Launch Timeline
Realme had already confirmed that the launch of the Realme 9 series will take place in 2022. The 91Mobiles report, citing tipster Mukul Sharma, claims that these smartphones will be launched in February 2022. However, the tipster has also said that the launch event could happen in the last week of January 2022. The report further claims that the 9 series will have four different models – Realme 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro Plus/Max, and 9i. The company may organize two separate events to launch its full roster of 9 series.

The Realme 9 series family was recently spotted on several certification websites, indicating that the launch is not far off. Realme 9 Pro with model number RMX3393 was recently spotted on the IMEI database. Similarly, the Realme 9i with model number RMX3491 and the Realme 9 Pro Plus along with the Realme GT2 Pro were spotted on EEC certification, indicating that a global launch is also near.
What to expect from the upcoming Realme flagship?
No information has been revealed about the specification of any device in the Reality 9 series family. However, a report by 91mobiles has speculated that the top smartphone of the series, the Realme 9 Pro Plus, could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. There is a possibility that the device could have an AMOLED display and a 108-megapixel camera setup.
