During the lockdown, 22 years after their marriage, they got enough time to give a new look to their four-storey house. Sarita Sharma, who was busy with her work, did not even remember that she had bought many things which she did not use during her various travels. These things were kept in the lofted part of his house for years.

Sarita says, “Both my children Liberty and Tobias did not like this house at all. They used to say that only paintings are visible in this house. To give a new look to the house, this woman adopted the mantra of Utilization and Reuse. Sarita first painted white in the sitting room to do a home makeover.
He got terracotta painted on some walls of his house. She says I could not get the wall behind the house painted due to the financial constraints. So I washed these walls with water and painted the lower part with black paint. To renovate her kitchen, Sarita removed the bulky wall units there and built open shelves. For fresh feeling, Sarita installed new handles in the door. At the same time, he tried to give his courtyard a Suding effect from old things kept in the house.
Sarita also did a makeover of her courtyard.
Sarita says – “I learned many things from lockdown.” Earlier I used to focus only on my assignments. But during the last few months I have known the importance of home. Apart from giving my house a new look, I exercised, started eating healthy and started walking. Now the effect of lockdown is over and I am more happy with my new habits ”.
