When Um Feraj realized that there was no place in Yemen where women could spend their leisure time, he started his own cafe. She wants to change the meaning of business for women through her work. She says, “There is no place in Yemen for women where they can sit and spend their time comfortably.” Taking care of the convenience of women, I have kept female employees in my cafe ”. The name of this café of Um Feraj is ‘Morning Icon Cafe’ which is made in Mareeb, Central Yemen.

Feraj says, “I have started this business by going against the conservative people of Yemen.” Some people here are not happy with this work of mine. They find it strange ”. However, she also knows that people have different opinions about each new job. She wants to prove on the strength of her hard work that a woman can also do business with success.

One of the customer suits at the cafe, who is also a medical student, explains here – “Mareeb is an area with no internet connection.” But internet facility is easily available in this cafe. This is a great place for female students ”. For the last few years, due to the bad conditions of Yemen, there are incidents of violence here. Meanwhile, it was not easy for Faraj to start a cafe here due to the epidemic and financial crisis.

Maintaining the quality of the product found in the cafe is not less of a challenge for Um Ferz due to the rising cost of goods. But even accepting these challenges, she wants to develop her cafe for women and children.
